Skis N’ Treads are an upgrade that made their debut in Vigilante 8: 2nd Offense. Skis N’ Treads are an upgrade that turns the player's vehicle's wheels into skis and environmentally adaptive tires that are designed to increase the player's speed in harsh weather conditions. They're a ski shaped object laying around randomly in the Alaskan, Utah, and original Colorado stages.

- Astronaut Bob O.'s Moon Rover has six wheels, so only his front two tires turn into skis and the rest turn into environmentally adaptive wheels. Obake's vehicle only has one wheel, so the skis are placed on the front ends of her vehicle, and only the back tire becomes an environmentally adaptive wheel.
