- Both the player and the CPUs can carry Quest Items in Quest Mode. To acquire them from enemies, one must destroy them first.
- Certain objectives will require the player to deliver the Quest Items in that stage to a specific building in the stage. To do so, simply drive near the instructed building, switch to the Quest Items in the weapon select screen, and hit the trigger button.
- If the player is required to deliver a Quest Item and hasn't done so after the final enemy has been destroyed, the game will allow time for the player to deliver those Quest Items (Only if the player has one or more of the Quest Items in their inventory). However, this extra time is not unlimited, so the player has to act fast.
