Agent R. Chase is a fictional character in the vehicle action series Vigilante 8.
Overview
Agent R. Chase is a ChronoPol agent from the year 2017 who had been monitoring Clyde and his activities with OMAR prior to the events of Vigilante 8: 2nd Offense. When Clyde went back to 1977, the bureau realized the danger to the timestream he could be and Chase volunteered to go apprehend him. Though he was focused on his mission, the longer Chase stayed in 1977, the more he liked it better than the future. He was conflicted about completing his mission or staying in 1977, especially after meeting his childhood hero, Chassey Blue. Initial meetings with her did not go well, but nevertheless she warmed up to him in the end.
Ending
Chase apprehending Lord Clyde in his ending in Vigilante 8: 2nd Offense.
In his ending, Chase corners a weakened Clyde after an intense battle. Just as he is about to arrest him, Clyde uses his cane to knock Chase off his feet. As Clyde is about to deal the killing blow, he is struck from behind by Obake, who carries him into his vehicle as they both travel forward in time, leaving a dumbfounded Chase behind.

Chase's Special Weapon was Hard Time, a gun that deals no damage, but freezes enemies for a few moments so that the player can deal more damage with other weapons.
